Privacy Notice
This notice covers two things: the website at periplusai.com, and Purser, the CRM you run on your own database. They collect very different amounts of information, so they get separate sections. The short version is that the website collects almost nothing, and Purser collects what you put into it, on infrastructure you control.
Who we are
Periplus builds and supports Purser. For anything in this notice, write to hello@periplusai.com. A real person reads that inbox and we answer within a day on working days.
The website
periplusai.com is a static site. It sets no cookies, loads no analytics script, embeds no third-party fonts or trackers, and makes no request to any server other than the one that serves the page. Every demo on the page, including the board, the receipt strip, the agent run, the tamper test and the calculator, runs entirely in your browser on example data. Nothing you type into a demo leaves your device, and nothing is recorded when you use one.
The only way the website collects personal information is when you choose to email us. The "Book a Walkthrough" button opens your own mail client with a subject line filled in; the message goes from your address to ours and is handled under the next section.
Our hosting provider keeps ordinary server logs (the requesting IP address, the page requested, the time, and the browser's user agent string) for the purpose of serving the site reliably and diagnosing faults. We do not use those logs to identify or profile visitors.
Email you send us
When you write to us, we keep the message and your reply address for as long as the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards so that we can pick it up again if you come back. We use it to answer you, to arrange a walkthrough, and for nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not share your address with anyone.
Purser itself
Purser stores the records you and your team enter: the people you do business with, deals, campaigns, flows, agent runs and the append-only history of changes to all of them. That data lives in a PostgreSQL database that you own, either on your own infrastructure or on a hosted account in your name. Periplus does not hold a copy of it and cannot read it unless you grant us access for support, which you can revoke at any time.
Because the history is append-only, records of what happened are not silently edited or deleted by the software. If a person asks you to correct or erase their data, Purser gives you the tools to do it, and the correction itself is recorded. You remain the controller of the data in your own Purser; we act only on your instructions when we help you with it.
Agents inside Purser draft text from the records you already hold. They do not send anything until a person approves it, and both the approval and a rejection are written to the history.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. For email correspondence, one message to hello@periplusai.com is enough. For data inside a Purser you use, the request goes to the business that runs that Purser, because they hold it, not us; we will help them honour it if they ask.
Children
The website and Purser are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the previous version stays available on request. We will not quietly widen what we collect.
